REGISTRATION PROBLEMS

We had a number of reports about "launch day signing up" challenges with our HealthCareForUs.org site. Hopefully this page will help those of you who experienced a registration problem .

Reported Problems:
  1. I got to your site and did not know how to register
    1. We have added two orange entry buttons on the home page"
      1. "Sign Up" - if you have not already registered then you need to click this button. Fill out the requested information (don't forget the "Over 13" box - it is required by US law) and click the "Submit" button. You should get an email shortly with a link that will take you to a page where you can complete your registration. (See "Problem 2.b.ii" below).

        When you are authenticating your registration through the link in the email you will enter your personal password - with this and your email address you can return to the site at any time.

      2. "Log In" - after you have completed the "Sign Up" process above, you should use this link whenever you return to the site. All you will need is your email address and your password.


  2. I registered but I never received the authentication email that would allow me to complete the registration process.
    1. There is one easy solution, fill out the form below and include the email address you used. We will authenticate your registration and send you a password you can use to get into the site.

    2. There are three possible problems:
      1. You did get our email but did not see it. The subject was "Thank you for registering with HealthCareForUS.org". You might use your email program to search for an email with the words "HealthCareForUS".
      2. Your email program could have treated our authentication email as spam. Almost all email programs with spam filters store suspected spam in some form of a 'spam mailbox'. If our email was treated as spam you should be able to find it in there. Please ensure that crowdpowernow.org is on your safelist to avoid any future spam filtering issues.
      3. There was a typo when you entered your email address. You can determine if this is the case by going back to the "Sign Up" page and entering your email address again. Enter your password. If you get a notice that the email address is already used then this was not the problem. If it accepts the email address then you can now complete your registration.


  3. I signed up and completed the authentication but I cannot get into the site.
    Here are some possible causes and solutions.
    1. You did not complete the registration by clicking on the link in the "Activate Your Account" part of the email. If this is the case, and you still have that email, you can still use the link to complete the registration.

    2. You cannot remember your password. Use the "I can't remember my password" link to reset your password. Read Paragraph 2 above about spam filters.
